TOUR ITINERARY

Morning:

Option 1: Ancient Temples

Start Time: 8:30 AM

We begin at Phnom Chisor, an historically significant site in Cambodia built in the 11th century. Located about 62 kilometers south of Phnom Penh in Takeo Province, its history is primarily defined by the ancient temple complex, Prasat Phnom Chisor, perched atop a 130-meter-high hill.

Local Lunch Experience

Afternoon:

Pre-Angkorian Temples:

Tonle Bati, located in Takeo Province, Cambodia, is a serene and historically rich area known for its beautiful lake and ancient temples. Its history is deeply intertwined with the Khmer Empire, particularly the reign of King Jayavarman VII.

Option 2: Oudong (Ancient City)

Morning:

Start Time: 8:30 AM

Oudong holds significant historical importance in Cambodia, having served as the royal capital for over 250 years during the post-Angkorian period. It now functions as a nursing home, shelter, and education center for underprivileged children in Cambodia. This is a great opportunity for you to learn about Buddhist practices in Cambodia and around the world. Afterward, you'll have the experience of walking up 303 steps to the hilltop to enjoy a magnificent view of rice paddies and the stupas of former Cambodian kings 🇰🇭.

Local Lunch Experience

Afternoon:

Koh Chen:

This is an excellent chance for you to visit a local school and bring gifts for the schoolchildren. Afterward, we will head to a local community to learn about and observe their special local crafts made with silver and copper.

Option 3: Day of Local Life and Silk Weaving Village

Start Time: 8:30 AM

We'll begin by taking a local ferry across the Mekong River to visit Koh Oknha Tey, often referred to as "Silk Island." This renowned village in Cambodia, located on an island just north of Phnom Penh, is a significant hub for traditional Cambodian silk weaving. It plays a vital role in preserving this ancient craft and local handmade goods. It's also a great opportunity to visit a local school and learn about education in Cambodia, as well as interact with the schoolchildren there.

Local Lunch Experience

Afternoon:

You'll have the unique experience of riding a local "limousine" tuk-tuk around the village to observe local life and the traditional wooden homes.
